DAVID GOULD
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

True Hebrew, True Reggae. Leave it up to the former bassplayer of the US Based Reggaeband John Brown's Body! With a slice of DUB and lyrics as well, these Roots Reggae renderings of traditional Jewish Hebrew musical works are definitely authentic in every sense of the word.

Daweh Congo
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

Born into a musical family in Kingston Jamaica (his father recorded for a host of legends like Lee Perry and Joe Gibbs), Daweh Congo couldn't have a better start to launch his vocal career. Currently he's a veteran himself as he sung on too many riddims to mention with his extremely talented voice.

Demondo
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

Like Jamaica, the UK is also a very important country when it comes to Reggae Music, both in history as well as this present day. Especially when it comes to militant style and Dubwise, the UK just simply cannot be ignored. Quite the contrary: it is there, that standards are set. Argueably, DUBWISE is much more developed in the UK then in Jamaica. UK DUB, UK ROOTS, these are not just styles, they are trademarks!

With such a name, it is obvious that there's a lot of producers and artists in the UK. One of them is called Demondo.

DINO
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

Hailing from his Polish-based Studio, the DUB DINOSAUR sends out some of the hardest Digi-Dubs to be found in the Online DUB Artist Community. Steppers, hot hot steppers, raising your consciousness higher on order to feel how deep the drum and bassline really go. Yes I, this is some crucial material!

DRY & HEAVY
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

In 1991, drummer Shigemoto Nanao (aka Dry) and bass player Takeshi Akimoto (aka Heavy) formed a band which they called after the classic Burning Spear album. There they were, at the start of what would become decades of being Japan's foremost DUB collective.

Dry and Heavy recorded a couple of albums, one of which was mixed by Prince/King Jammy's. Their sound is very much focused in Jamaican Rockers Reggae fro the 1970's, allbeit that they do incorporate contemporary technologies as well.

Dub A Mix
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

A circle around the A wouldn't be misplaced in this artist's name: here is the 21st Century French version of the Punky Reggae Party. Digi-Dub with a touch of this and a touch of that, held together by a strong vision of freedom.

Dub From Atlantis
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

They worked with the creme de la creme of the UK DUB scene, from Mad Professor to Vibronics. Even stronger, they have them among their ranks too. And so, the Bristol based DUB Collective produced some very impressive riddims and mixes. UK DUB and ROOTS avant la lettre!

Dub Vibrations
DUBROOM NETLABEL REVIEW

WWW, August 2012 - Centered around veteran online artists El Bib and Don Fe, the Dub Vibrations Net Label has released quite some interesting material, of which the "Revolutionary DUB Vibrations" series has reached classic status within the online DUB Community.

The Net Label actually, according to themselves "emerged from the ashes of the original online reggae community Versionist". They've been indeed keeping up with the vibes present during the "golden years" of the Versionist community, captured in their excellent releases.

Dubkey
DUBROOM NETLABEL REVIEW

WWW, April 2014 - Founded in 2009 by the Maltese producer and radio host Manwell Tabone, DUBKEY has evolved from being an outlet for the productions by the brethren to a Net Label that features singers like Prince Alla and Kenny Knots, producers such as Unitone Soundimentional and the Apocalypse DUB Faction.

Malta might not be the first place you'd expect the Head Quarters of a DUB and ROOTS Reggae Net Label, but then you should admit to have made a mistake. Dub Key is a Net Label that you cannot ignore in any way. Not because of the excellent local productions (Mind's Eye Dub), not because of the UK releases, not because of the need for good DUB and ROOTS!
