JAH ROOTS
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

Originally founded by Messian Dread as Messiah Calling around 1986/1987, JAH Roots has been playing (DUB) Reggae live for many years. Even though the group/collective has never officially released an album, they have been providing many people with good vibes in live settings. On this page you can download some single tracks.

Jah Warrior
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

JAH Warrior hails from the UK, and musically he hails from the Conscious Sounds Studios. His riddims have been dubbed and voiced over by too many great vocalists to mention.

John Brown's Body
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

With a name like this, you must be based in the USA. And so it is with this band whose sound changed significantly with the death and departure of several original members. The band turned away from the more original concepts of Reggae and decided to experiment.

The result is a music that will appeal to one visitor of the Dubroom where the Reggae and Dub purists might not really hear what they would love to hear.

Jonah Gold
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

Running his own crucial label is only a part of Jonah Gold's versatile works in the promotion of (DUB) Reggae. Producing his own riddims and dubbing them is another aspect of what he's doing and he's doing it the right way!

JUNIOR KELLY
DUBROOM MP3 ARTIST REVIEW

WWW, July 2014 - Junior Kelly's life hasn't been easy. Born and raised in Kingston, he saw his older brother -a DJ for Kilimanjaro Sound System- brutally murdered. That's right, and on top of that his brother was the primary source of income for the whole family. He was also the example for his younger brother, who since then has been working hard to spread a positive message as a vocalist.

Knowing about this background of Junior Kelly can only lead you to a deep sense of respect for the Jamaican singer. Someone who does not turn to violence and criminality but instead uses music and spirituality is -or should be- an example to many. His affiliation is with the House of the Bobo Shanti and thus with artists like Capleton and Sizzla, but musically he takes a different direction and with that, he appeals to ones who prefer their Reggae sung rather than chanted over.

Italian Dub Community
DUBROOM NETLABEL REVIEW

Centered around Italy's number one Dub collective Moa Anbessa, whose website gave birth to the Italian Dub Community, this is truly one of the most interesting DUB Net Labels. Their philosophy of "Cooperation NOT Competition" serves as the foundation for some very heavyweight material coming out of this cooperation.

A few names involved are: BR Stylers, Alambic Conspiracy, RE Sistance In DUB, Wicked DUB Division and many, many more.
