ALGAR
- STEPPACTION
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
August 2012 - Steppaction could best be
described as a combination of heavy duty
steppers dubs and more psychedelic material
wherein you can hear all kinds of
soundscapes and voices heavily mixed. Not
all the tracks could be seen as DUB as there
are combinations with elements
Drum&Bass, but the ones that can be
should be!
There's not
much information on the Internet about Algar,
other than that he seems to be based in
Sweden and Germany (LINK).
It's also clear that he's inspired by the
current and recent developments in the UK
and the rest of Europe when it comes to
heavyweight DUB sounds.

APOCALYPSE
DUB FACTION - JAH NEVER FAIL I
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
April 2014 - Opening up with a very fine
vocal and Dub carrying the voice of Rueben
Addis (Unitone Soundimentional whose
very fine "Zion Chant", released
by DUBKEY.Com was also reviewed in the
Dubroom), Jah Never Fail I is another
crucial release by the Maltesian Net Label.
The Apocalypse Dub Faction, no stranger to
long time visitors and readers of the
Dubroom, brings us 14 titles of pure UK DUB
and ROOTS you just can't refuse. Read and
download n.o.w.!
Rueben
Addis is not the only vocalist featured on
this release: Kenny Knots and Prince Alla
join in and they do not dissapoint at all.
The simple fact that everything recorded was
recorded roughly between 2000 and 2005
simply shows another fact: this is music for
all times and seasons and those who love
their drum and bass vibrations simply know
what to do with the album.

Culture Players - Temple Riddim EP
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
August 2013 - Two (Spanish) Vocal tracks,
one instrumental (with horns) and one hard
hitting DUB: here is the full contents of
the excellent Temple Riddim EP by the
Spanish based Bass Culture Players.
Heavyweight Steppers of the excellent kind
fe true!
Originally
released in 2012 through Creative Commons,
this hard-hitting steppers tune can not be
absent in the collection of the self
respecting collector of the better quality
(online) DUB. It can't be absent in the
Dubroom's online collection of CC-released
material either. This is pure EuroDub and
Roots: electronic, analogue, full of vibes
and consciousness.
The two
spanish vocal tracks may not be understood
by non-Spanish speaking folks like your's
truly but it is immideatly overstood
how the lyrics have to do with upright
stuff. The horn version vaguelly resembles a
Vibronics track but not really. Gotta hear
it to experience!
If only for
the heavyweight, hard-hitting DUB of this
militant Steppers riddim called
"Temple", the Bass Culture Players
deserve more than our respect. They deserve
our support!

DANI
ITES - ROOTS MELODY
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
May 2010 - After the short opening featuring
just the melodica, the Drum and Bass jump
right in there, setting the tone for the
rest of the 5-track EP by Spanish
multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer
Dani Ites.
Ites
and Ites!
Dani Ites
is blessed with many talents. His debut
album showcases several, two of them being
his productional skills and ability to play
melodica throughout the five tracks without
becoming boring. The brethren is a member of
Barcelona's Humble Lion Sound System, where
he is said to often steal the show with
improvisations on melodica and vocal works.
Unfortunately, his vocal works remain within
the Humble Lion sessions until this date
(may 2010), as there's no singing throughout
the EP.

DAWA
HI-FI - DUB TINGS
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2012 - DUB Tings, the second DAWA
Hi-Fi release on the French Net Label "Original
DUB Gathering", features
musician and engineer Val Dawa in a
remarkable new old way: everything is
played, mixed, recorded and programmed by
hand, as much as possible the Old Days are
recalled. In other words, there's as little
computerized elements as possible.
Don't
expect to be treated by a couple of 70's
copycat tunes, though. That would not only
be an insult to the works of the French
producer but equally to the releases from
that time. DUB Tings is "just" an
original, contemporary work in the EuroDUB
and Roots style which established itself
throughout the last decade or so. A style
which distinguishes itself by it's heartical
riddims and massive productions, often based
on Conscious concepts.

DON
GOLIATH - ROOTSSTEP COLOSSUS
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2014 - Twelve selections directly from
the enormous catalogue of Don
"Rootsstep" Goliath, who was
recently
reviewed and interviewed in the Dubroom.
Twelve selections of pure niceness for the
lover of Roots Reggae and Dubstep alike, an
enormous accomplishment in itself. It's
yours for free!
According to the folks at LCLWEB, the Net
Label responsible for this 12-pack of
digital roots niceness, it wasn't that easy
to pick twelve tracks and we here at the
Dubroom can only have empathy for that. When
you love this sound, you just can't get
enough of them and since the quality of the
music is rather consistent, you just want it
to play on and on. Well, we can do that for
a full 50 minutes long at least, thanks to
what must have been days of choosing time.

MACHINIST AND I-PLANT - NO SMOKING AREA
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
June 2010 - No Smoking Area is a Riddim
EP in the DUB sense of the word. I-Plant,
Hatman and Gary Dub are just three names who
have showcased their work on the riddim and
these names should ring a bell to those who
know their EURODUB and their NET LABEL DUB.
More than
niceness, this is definitely not the kind of
music which would make a No Smoking Area
occupied with slaveish followers of the next
anti-smoking law in some or another
country. This is the kind of music that makes
the heart and soul of every lover of DUB
rise up in joy.

DUBALIZER
- IN TRANSE
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
June 2011 - Hailing from Sao Paulo,
Dubalizer knows how to make some very
interesting mixes in which he takes the
concept of Dub as his guideline, while kind
of taking straight back to the source those
techniques that derived from DUB.
Unfortunately,
In Transe does only contain three tracks.
These three tracks all have their own
specific vibe and style even though
everything is undoubtly coming from the same
producer. From the magnificent opening track
to the heartically voiced middle one to the
more Dubstep orientated closing tune, this
is more than interesting to listen to.

Dubsynaticx - Studio Dubs Part 1
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
September 2014 - Whenever you see "Part
One" in the title of an album, it's
always intriguing: when it turns out to
contain niceness, you know there's more of
that niceness coming your way. Right?
Presenting Part One of Studio Dubs,
presenting Dubsynaticx, presenting some Dub
Niceness. Yes I!
Dubsynaticx
is Daniel Rossman, from Vienna Austria. He
grew up with Reggae music and in 2015, he
can look back at ten years of releasing his
music online. Yes, the Dubroom should
apologize to this Dub producer for not
having discovered him before. Is his music
that crucial, you might ask, and the answer
is YES. It's definitely an addition to the
variety in Eurodub and Roots land. We can
get it thanks to the Idren at the
Cyprus-based Dubophonic Net Label,
responsible for this excellent April 2014
release.

TERMINATOR - DEMOS AND REMIXES IN DUB
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
June 2010 - DUB Terminator hails from
the deep, deep south: New Zealand, to be
exactly. In Demo's and Remixes in Dub (featured
in Radio Dubroom 2010 #5), he
presents 15 tracks of Dubs and Discomixes in
a very special style that mixes Dancehall,
Reggae and more R&B related vibes.
According
to his
biography at MYSPACE.com, the
musical philosophy of the Dub Terminator was
significantly formed when he was living as a
youth in Jah Creation, far away from the
so-called "civilized" world. All
he was doing was developing his musical
talents which led him to become member of
many bands before he found himself as the
Dub Terminator, terminating all the bad
vibes and provide the online massive with
some very inspirational sounds.

DUBZOIC
- UNCEASINGLY
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2010 - In four tracks, we
get ourselves familiar with the musical
productions of the Italian based DUBZOIC
band and the vocal works of UK based Sista
Sara.
The four
works on UNCEASINGLY fit very well in the
style of digital Roots and DUB which is so
strong all over the UK and the European
continent. The fact that this is a work
where studio's in Italy and the UK both have
been involved can easily be recognized by
the lover of the better Steppa's and other
Reggae rhythms.

DUB - POTENTIODUB
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2012 - Those who know their
mustard, know that Dijon is the place where
some pretty fiery and sharp stuff is
produced. It is this location where we find
FULL DUB, a talented producer when it comes
to electronic DUB and Dubstep. Fiery and
sharp, that is!
In five
tracks, we're being introduced to the
complex and in-depth works by the French
producer and instrumentalist. He puts
everything there, even to a live violin! The
music is more than heavily based on Roots
but there are elements of the wobbliness of
Dubstep although -fortunately- the true
foundation of the bass is not sacrificed.

GARY
CLUNK - ARCHIVES OF DUB VOLUME 1
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2012 - Another one from the widely
acclaimed French
DUB Released Netlabel: Archives
of DUB is actually a showcase album with six
titles in twelve tracks. Twelve marvelous
tracks where you can find everything, from
upfull vocals such as Paul Fox'
"Freedom Fighters" and Sammy
Gold's "Hail Rastafari" to massive
DUB like "Lasting Friendship" and
"Headlong DUB".
Everything
is nicely sequenced: A Vocal, it's DUB, an
Instrumental (DUB) Version, it's DUB, three
times over. It makes the album very
enjoyable to listen to in it's entirety,
even though the quality of the tracks in
themselves do not need a sequence in order
to be enjoyed. This is some very, very fine
and solid Roots and Culture (DUB) Reggae
from the French producer!

French city of Metz in 1985. In the
meantime, he has played with many of the
better UK and EURODUB Sounds. In this

little better, musically.
Gary's

DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
September 2012 - Straight from the
French (DUB) Reggae underground, this very
interesting one filled with eleven titles
all starting with the letter C. C as in
Conscious, even though there are hardly any
lyrics in this no-nonsense instrumentalist
Reggae album.
"Conscious Rasta" is indeed
interesting for a variety of reasons. Much
thought has been put in the music, both in
the samples as well as the (excellent)
instrumentation and overall concept. Expect
an album that is filled with intelligence
and style, as you listen to the
instrumentals with nuff Dub effects here and
there you will definitely recognize the
amount of work that has been put in it.

HATMAN
- A DUB ENTERTAINMENT
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2012 - It's clear at the very
first seconds of the very first track:
Hatman is as much a musician as he is a
producer. Interesting chord changes, subtle
keyboards, and everything on a solid sound
of the bass and drums. The recently released
Net Album is full of this kind of niceness!
Even though
all nine different titles have their own
dynamic and style, there is also something
that makes them into the album as well. This
is not just a collection of singles, in
other words. The first three tracks are
basically relaxed instrumental versions, the
fourth one introduces more and more DUB
mixing in the tunes that follow. There is a
very enjoyable line in the sequence of the
album which gives much credit to the title.

HATMAN
- DUB TO DUB SHOWCASE VOLUME 1
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2010 - Usually, a Showcase album
indicates that the titles come with a Vocal
and a Dub part in one long mix. Not in the
DUB TO DUB Showcase, though. The French
producer came up with this Iriginal concept,
worked out in a excellent eight-track Net
Album.
It's
not just the concept of a "Dub to Dub
Showcase" which should be recognized as
Iriginal, Hatman's music is kind of Iriginal
as well. It is clear that he knows his
instruments and has some pretty in-depth
ideas about production and engineering as
well. From the crucial French Dub Released
(FDR) Net Label: the first installment of
Hatman's contribution to the Online Dub
Massive. Nuff Thanks!

series. Hopefully, that is. For we have
another collection of truly nice Roots and
Culture Reggae DUB tunes on our hand that we
really need to listen to four our musical
dietary needs as true DUBheads.
The French
multi-instrumentalist himself sees this
second episode as more of a foundation foor
Roots and Culture singers where Episode One,
he says in a French interview on the Net
Label's album page, was more aimed at the
Sound Systems.

The
surprising element is of course the fact
that the Spanish band has made a name with
some more than crucial Roots Reggae releases
in true Old Skool style from instruments to
recording to mixing. That is something which

DROP - SUGAR AND SPICE
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
January 2021 - The first thing that should
be said about this Showcase album by the
Spanish band Hot Drop and Puppa Shan at the
controls, is this: when you love your
1970's/80's Reggae, when you love your
better Reggae band in analogue fashion, when
you love your better Dub you simply cannot
afford to not have Sugar and Spice in your
collection.
The title
of the album is well-chosen. Even though
everything is mixed exactly the way it was
done in pre-digital times, there's a wide
variety of different Reggae styles. Smooth
Lover's Rock, Hard Roots, pre-digital UK
Roots: good vibes all over the place, that's
for sure. We can only be thankful to both

WWW,
June 2010 - Hot Drop is one of the
hottest Reggae Bands in Europe, especially

"The Secret Dubs", we're
remembered on the fact once again.
Unfortunately,
there are only six titles in this release
from the "A Quiet Bump" Net Label.
Six very impressive tracks, that is. The
mini album closes of with a digital remix by
Jambassa, but that's only after we've
experienced five crucially mixed and played
DUB tracks in true Old Skool style.
After the
tracks were recorded, they have gone all
over the world from Brazil to Italy where
they were mixed into the crucial tracks that
we can hear after downloading the album for

IBEL
- LOVE FE LIFE (EP)
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
August 2014 - Three vocals, four dubs: Love
Fe Life is a joyous collaboration between
Jamaican vocalist Ibel and Med Dred based on
another island, namely that of Cyprus. The Mediterranean
vibes are there, undeniably. The Jamaican
vibe, too. There's even a UK Dub vibe coming
in the form of a Dub by Dub Caravan. Get
this one for some Ireness!
Ibel
Campbell (b. 1967) is a conscious, peacefull
Rastaman who loves to share good vibes,
because he knows that this is so much
needed. Not just on Jamaica, not just on
Cyprus, not just in the UK but everywhere.
Love Fi Life comes with three vocal tracks,
all equally conscious. Four dubs, too. The
last track, dubbed by Dub Caravan in the UK
is the heaviest, the other three dubs are
more dub counterparts to the vocal tracks,
giving you some time for meditation on the
words you just heard.

MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
January 2021 - Brand New, Good For You: all

electronic DUB Duo Konstantinos and
Alexandra a.k.a. IGL and Alecho. Filled with
electronic atmospherical vibes, everything
on the foundation of some heavy bass and
drums. Another superb release from
Dubophonic for the lovers of electronic Dub.
In their
own words: "It is the story of a small
atomic structure and ITS journey to the
stars. So significant was this molecule’s
appearance it would change worlds and be the
matrix of life on this planet. It is a
conceptual dub album revolving around the
journey of life, from the water to the
stars, as it is described through the titles
of the tracks, but also through the
inspiring artwork." Well, that sums it
up very well.

Rootikal Steppers - Jah Rootikal Steppers
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
April 2014 - Jah Rootikal knows his Reggae.
Jah Rootikal knows his Dub. Jah Rootikal
knows his Steppers! With his self-titled début
album, the UK based producer delivered a
magnificent piece of artistical work. Or
should it be: works? Twelve titles filled
with love for the music, love for the sound,
love for the Dub. One Love!
For the
music on the album, Jah Rootikal got
together with a number of musicians he knows
from his long time involvement in playing
and producing music. Vocals, melodica,
conga, nuff stuff. The result: a combination
of played and programmed materials,
everything skillfully mixed into Dub works
in the UK Dub style avant la lettre.

AMERLOCK - 2010 A BASS ADDITY
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
June 2010 - "Songs from the first
decade of the 21st Century", Ras
Amerlock writes about this 2010 release
which signifies itself through it's
old-skool approach of the Art of Dub.
In fact,
the album basically contains a number of
previously unreleased material by the
American multi-instrumentalist and Dub
engineer who has been working in the field
of Reggae for quite a while now. Let's just
mention the fact that he was a part of what
was one of the first DUB oriented Net
Labels: Jahtari.

AMERLOCK - FARTHER EAST
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2010 (From the Archives) - Obviously
inspired by classic Jamaican DUB, Ras
Amerlock translates this inspiration into a
form of digital niceness of exceptional
quality. This full length EP contains
a selection of these works. Deep Bass for
Deep Space, fe true. Nuff vibes, skillful
DUB mixing and some very nice riddims form
the main ingredients for what can only be
described as a Dubwise Experience
extra-ordinary!

SINGER
TEMPA - CUT MORE COLLIE
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2014 - In this May 2014 release from
the Maltese Net Label DUB KEY, we are
getting introduced to Singer Tempa inna
Showcase Stylee! UK DUB and Roots Reggae as
authentic as it can be, from the top to the
very last (DUB) drop. Skillfully played by
the MessenJah Music Players, mixed by
Apocalypse Dub Faction's Rod Chaplin, and
skillfully voiced by a veteran in conscious
Roots Reggae. Read on and download this gem
for free!
First things first: this is Singer
Tempa's debute album. He is the house MC for
the Lion Heart Sound System, while he voices
for MessenJah as well. Yes, he is based in
the UK where a culture of Roots Reggae Sound
Systems dates back decades. It is in this
culture that Singer Tempa was born and where
he grew his vocal talents by continually
performing with sounds.

THE
BLACKSTARLINERS - ROARING LION
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
May 2010 - The French Net Label
"Original Dub Gathering" has made
it's name in the online (DUB) Reggae
Community for quite a while now. Their first
release of this year will only add weight to
that name: Introducing the Blackstarliners,
original and massive UK DUB for which I and
I give thanks.
They've
played with Zion Train, Bush Doctors and
Improvisators Dub to name just three
well-known acts within UK DUB and Roots with
which the Blackstarliners have been
performing in Europe. They play in the same
style, with the same intensiveness,
intentionally heavyweight UK DUB where
electronica and programmed material both
take their -essential- place.

THE
EMETERIANS - CHANGE THE MOOD
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
August 2010 - Eleven musicians who formerly
played in other bands, some of them well
known in their own might, gathered
themselves to create Roots Rock Reggae in
the orthodox, Jamaican tradition made
popular so many decades ago: analogue
recording and mixing with on top conscious
lyrics. Presenting the Emeterians: Roots and
Culture DUB and vocals in the orthodox way!
When you
include the introduction tune, "Change
the Mood" contains 12 titles, wherein
the whole traditional line-up is present,
from the riddim section to the horns and
from the backing vocals to lead voice. It's
clear, though, and not just by reading the
liner notes, that the band does include a
Dub engineer as a member, a thing which did
not used to be so when Reggae Bands
predominantly were studio bands. It's just a
thing which makes it clear that this is not
a recording for what some preterists would
call "golden age of Reggae", a
term which is rejected as a whole here in
the Dubroom.

TIBURK
SOUND SYSTEM - TASTE IT RIGHT
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
July 2010 - Originally, Tiburk hails
from St. Etienne in France, where he was a
first hand witness of the rising and shining
of the French Dub scene in the late 1990's.
His full-length début album, released this
year on the Original
Dub Gathering Net Label, fuses the sound
of electronic Dub with all kinds of
soundscapes like vocal hooks and localized
instruments.
In fact,
"Taste It Right" is a kind of
exploration into just what can be done on a
solid foundation of Roots Reggae drum and
bass lines, an exploration which -as far as
we here in the Dubroom are concerned- is a
welcome addition to not just the nice
catalogue of the Original DUB Gathering Net
Label but also to the whole spectrum of the
better French DUB producers.

DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
April 2014 - Those who know their UK DUB and
ROOTS business when it comes to production

Rueben Addis has been running the Sound
since the start when he joined Mixman who
was then setting up his Blakamix productions
back in the early 1980's.
Net Label
DUBKEY.com's first release of 2014 carries
singers as well: Zebby Blax, who provides us
with the opening track for example. Together
with a fine accompanying Dub by Rueben
Addis, that is. Hatta Benji is there too and
Sis Dinah, adding the Roots Daughter vibe.

UPTOWN
REBEL- RANDOM ROAD
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
April 2014 - Three years after his debute
album, Uptown Rebel returns in the year 2014
with a heavyweight nine-track DUB album.
With collaborations by Dub Machinist, Sammy
Gold and Zion UK, Random Road has become a
more than pleasant work of DUB Art.
Electronic
DUB Art, that is. In a Roots Reggae Style.
The opening
track, featuring Sammy Gold at the
microphone is an easy going One Drop style
Roots tune, with conscious lyrics for your
heart and soul to meditate upon. During the
massive Dub version, for example. Bredda
Sammy surely has a message for each and
everyone to take heed while Uptown Rebel has
the riddim and the Dub mixing skills to
accompany it just in style.

WWW,
July 2010 - the French based
"Paris Dub Activitys" Net Label
was founded back in 2005 already. Their
first compilation "Dub Act"
contains eight excellent digital pieces of
Dub Masterworks from the French Capital.
Improvisation,
even to a Jazzy level. Minimalistic
electronica, even to a Techno level. Between
these two extremes can only be one thing:
DUB. Exactly this, just what Dub can do, can
be heard in "Dub Act". Everything
is there, there are even tracks you would
definitely like to space out to on your

"Virtual Ten Inch", DUB DISASTER
Volume One proved us with four dubs from two
titles by two French producer collectives:
OBF Sound and d'Incise aka YOUTHMAN STEPPA,
not unfamiliar for Dubroom readers.
It's
obvious that sounds like OBF work very close
with their UK partners like Zion Train and

DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |

July 2010 - With artists such as
UK based JAH Warrior, DUB Propaganda is an
impressive collection of European DUB
productions. Indeed, a full length album
which will be a welcome addition to the
collection of every serious lover of UK and
Euro DUB and Roots.
The Net
Album turns out to be a journey into the
deeper realms of DUB, where synthesizers and
deep deep Bass sounds blend together with
the -often- hard steppin' Drum rhythms.
Mysterious mixes, with many unidentified
flying effects and sounds take you to places
you would never expect DUB music to trod.

ARTISTS - DUB TENTACLES VOLUME 2
DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
August 2012 - They focus on basically
"everything electronic" at Fresh
Poulp, which includes DUB and Roots. This
rings through at the selection of their DUB
TENTACLES compilation series but in no way
that should keep you from checking out the
second chapter.
For
example, the excellent opening track by the
Spanish band Hot Drop, of which we reviewed
quite some stuff here at mp3.dubroom.org.
Although there's little DUB in it, the Roots
Reggae Band doesn't disappoint those looking
for the better Reggae. Or Panda Dub's
"First Meet", an upfull and
righteous Steppers with vocalist Youyou. A
floorshaker fe real! Barbes D is present
with a cool tune featuring singer Sammy
Gold, crucial DUB there!

DUBROOM
MP3 ALBUM REVIEW |
WWW,
August 2012 - The third installment of FRESH
POULP's Tentacle of DUB
Compilation Series gives an oversight in not
only DUB but also styles that derive from
it, like Dubstep. A style that not every
lover of DUB will apprecilove in the same
manner, and so this album does not just
contain Dubstep but also styles "closer
to home", let's say.
"Don
Dub" by Malta-based Mind's Eye DUB is
the fourth track and the first upright,
no-nonsense Roots Reggae track. Some great
melodica and the typical bubbling organ.
It's followed by Ackboo's "Holy Mount
Zion" featuring Steve Steppa: a hard
hitting steppers rhythm as the Book of
Bibles is quoted and excellent singing is
done.

"Fire

the most interesting releases by the FDR,
which says something given the constant
quality of the music the Net Label has
blessed the Online Dub Reggae Community with
already. It took the label one year more
than they expected, but it definitely paid
off musically. Hopefully, it will also pay
off financially for the label even though
French Dub Released has a non-profit nature:

nicer: it's a track which truthfully
promises a level of quality which will stand

June 2010 - The second collection of the

because this is not even a double-album but
a triple -album!
It's
greater too, because there is a greater
number of styles and vibes on this release.
There's much more variety in styles, but
definitely not in quality. The Roots is
there, really there.
It's a
Showcase: Every track comes with a vocal and
a Dub. With a few exceptions, they all come

Every track is especially mastered for the

July 2010 - When The Dub Machinist
spent two years in Basque country, he was

Every time, they would work on two or three
riddims in what would become the Rootstaritz

tone is excellent!
Don't
expect too much dubbing in this first

do. Just like releases from Spanish Reggae
bands such as Hot Drop and the Emeterians,
Retorno al Origen contains 12 extremely
tight Roots Reggae riddims which just cannot
be denied their quality. The album closes of
with an acoustic Spanish re-make of one of
the riddims.
