In the last part of the 1970's, Reggae Music became more simplified and early Dancehall was born. Electronic Drums and Synthesizers were increasingly used, as the music became more minimal in arrangement too. The result: Easy, Catchy Riddims that will make you rock and groove to the rhythm of the drum and bassline!

DON CARLOS - TRIBULATION

This album has many tunes that are also available on "Jah Light", but it's worthwhile to check it nevertheless for the ones that are different. Also check the remixes!

DON CARLOS - JAH LIGHT

One of the founding members of Black Uhuru, Don Carlos' popularity came after he began a solo carrier. This album features some of the best Roots and Rub a Dub material that the sweet vocalist recorded throughout the 70's and 80's.

SUGAR MINOTT - GOOD THING GOING

Sugar Minott's voice is sweet, sweeter than sweet. He is also called the Godfather of Rub a Dub. This albums contains some very nice Rub a Dub tunes with mostly Lovers' themes.

SLY & ROBBIE - TAXI FARE

A very interesting collection of Sly and Robbie's production for their own TAXI Label. Includes Sugar Minott's "Devil Pickney" as well as some other later Rub a Dub classics.
