Swiss provide us with another great mix of
crucial music for our listening pleasure.
With an emphasis on DUB, they treat us with
a combination of different times and places.

COMMENTS: Well, after skipping a week at
the controls, the doctor was back in the
house at the Echo Chamber. DJ Baby Swiss
went solo last week while I hung out with
the Turntable Terrorist in Chicago --
catching (and recording) All India Radio
live at a small club, joining the Terrorist
at WLUW-FM for his program Echo Beach, and
doing a bit of homebrewing... Lots of new,
and newly re-released, items in the
mix tonight including: a couple of excellent
dubs from Messian Dread, the "Irie
Meditation" single from Nucleus Roots
(on Universal Egg), the great re-released
"Stop That Train" album (on
Greensleeves) from Clint Eastwood &
General Saint, the new Slavic Soul Party
("Technochek Collision" on Barbes),
Alpha & Omega's latest ("City of
Dub"), a sultry French track from
Zohar's new "Do You Have Any
Faith?" (C.I.A), dubs from 555 and
Library Science, the Senior All Stars'
excellent new "Red Leaf" (on
Grover), and a great cover of "Don't
Let Me Be Misunderstood" from Ray
Darwin. On top of these new items, we
included classic stuff from Lee
"Scratch" Perry, Niney the
Observer, and Bim Sherman, plus more great
stuff from Adrian Sherwood, Black Uhuru,
